Kona Financial Services in Honolulu is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team and provide vital assistance to the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level financial services and analyzing the financial performance of the firm. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accuracy and accuracy of the firm’s financial data.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Ensure accuracy of accounting and financial data
- Analyze financial performance and cash flow
- Generate reports and financial analysis
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Research and resolve accounting issues
- Prepare tax returns, reports, and other required documents
- Monitor compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations
- Prepare audit schedules and provide information to external auditors
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Generate reports for management
Work Hours and Benefits:
This position is full-time and will require approximately 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be eligible for a competitive salary and benefits package.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Training and Education:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant designation preferred
